A year of success and growth: our look back at 2024

BayIND looks back on an eventful and successful 2024 - and says thank you!

This year not only saw the strengthening of Indo-German relations through the Intergovernmental Consultations and the Asia-Pacific Conference, but also the expansion of the Bavarian-Indian partnership through the visit of Bavarian State Minister of Science and the Arts Mr Markus Blume

Through our programmes - including the Summer School and scholarships for excursions, internships and study visits - we were able to support 134 students. We shared many of these impressions on our Instagram channel.

Our Science Office in Bangalore reached out to many prospective students by participating in numerous events and continued to expand its networks.

As part of the PharmIn² project, an online training platform was developed, which is widely used by Indian students. In addition, numerous marketing activities in India increased the visibility of the project.

Our BayIND alumni network has also grown: in addition to the big meetup, we organised several events, including a mentoring programme, which was very well received by both mentors and mentees.

Our Bavarian-Indian network has continued to develop, leading not only to new opportunities for collaboration, but also to a significant increase in our visibility. We are particularly proud to have been recognised as a best practice in the strategy paper of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS).

Together we look optimistically into the future and look forward to realising more exciting projects and events in 2025.

Your BayIND team

Note: We will be back in the office on 7 January 2025.
