Competency assessment for pharmIn2’s roturi technology

The SKATE model is being used to evaluate the essential skills and knowledge for operating roturi technology, ensuring effective training and development.

As part of the pharmIn2 project, the SKATE model was used to assess the competencies required for operating the pharmIn2’s core technology, roturi. This model evaluates a person's skills, knowledge, motivation, talent, and experience, ensuring all five components are present to determine competency. The SKATE model helps identify both strengths and areas for development, providing a targeted approach to performance improvement and personal growth.

Based on this framework, a competency test with 20 questions was developed. The test was initially trialed with a process engineer from our Indian partner company, PAQUES, who currently operates the pilot plant in Hyderabad. Based on the assessment, suggestions and strategies have been developed to optimize competencies and improve the efficient operation of the roturi technology.
