Strengthening Indo-German university partnerships: participation in the events ‘65 Years DAAD India’, ‘100 Years DAAD’ and ‘APAIE 2025’ in India

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and the 65th anniversary of DAAD India, BayIND participated in a commemorative event organised by DWIH New Delhi. BayIND was part of the programme along with representatives from twelve Bavarian universities:

  • University of Regensburg
  • Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts
  • Hof University of Applied Sciences
  • Kempten University of Applied Sciences
  • Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences
  • Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU Munich)
  • Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule (OTH) Regensburg
  • Technical University of Munich (TUM)
  • University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS)
  • University of Augsburg
  • University of Bayreuth
  • University of Passau

In addition, BayIND participated in APAIE 2025 to maintain existing partnerships, initiate new collaborations and promote international dialogue.

APAIE 2025 was held for the first time in India from 24 to 28 March 2025 at the Yashobhoomi (India International Convention & Expo Centre) in New Delhi. Hosted by the O.P. Jindal Global University, the event brought together more than 2,000 participants from over 60 countries. The conference served as a platform for exchanging ideas on international academic cooperation, student mobility and research partnerships.

BayIND's participation in APAIE 2025 helped to increase the visibility of Bavarian universities in the Asia-Pacific region and strengthen the dialogue with international partner institutions. The event underlined the importance of global cooperation in higher education and provided numerous opportunities for bilateral discussions and networking.

BayIND continues to actively support the development of academic networks and the promotion of exchanges between Bavaria and India.
