Consul General Mr. Mohit Yadav as a guest at Hof University of Applied Sciences

On 25th June 2020 received visits from a high-level delegation, consisting of Consul General Mohit Yadav, further stakeholders of the Indian Consulate General in Munich as well as Dr. Hans-Peter Friedrich, Vice President of the German Bundestag.

To strengthen the academic relations between Bavaria and India, Mr. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Lehmann, president of Hof University of Applied Sciences and chairman of the directorate of BayIND, welcomed the high-level delegation at Hof University. Ms. Wiebke Dörfler, managing director of BayIND and BayIND employees organised the visit of the delegation in Upper Franconia.

At the beginning the high-level visitors discussed on further cooperation possibilities between India and Hof University with Ms. Susanne Krause, head of the international office and Mr. Prof. Dr. Daniel Werner from the Institute for Continuing Education (ifw) at Hof University. In the winter semester 2019/2020, about 360 students were enrolled at Hof University, which is why India is an important strategic collaboration partner.

After a campus tour at Hof University, Mr. Dr. Hans-Peter Friedrich, and Mr. Mohit Yadav discussed with Indian students at Hof University on their previous digital semester and their individual experiences. To thank the delegation for their visit, some students handed over their coursework on SMEs in Upper Franconia which they compiled during their studies.

After the visit at Hof University, Ms. Wiebke Dörfler accompanied the delegation to the company Rausch & Pausch AG, located in Selb, as an example of an innovative medium-sized enterprise in Upper Franconia.
