Call for Applications by the IGSTC

Application deadline for joint Research and Development and Innovation (R&D&I) projects of industrial relevance in 2+2 Mode of Partnership by the Indo-German Science and Technology Centre (IGSTC) ends on 4th February 2019.

IGSTC calls First Stage Proposals for joint R&D&I projects in the research areas sustainable production and clean and green technologies. The aim of this programme is to support joint R&D&I projects of industrial relevance. In order to achieve this 2+2 Mode of Partnership between Germany and India are supported. This means the involvement of at least one research or academic institute and one public or private industry actor from Germany and India is required.

The funding includes grants up to € 450.000 per project for German partners and up to ₹ 230 Lakhs per project for Indian partners for a period of up to three years.

Research fellows from public and private non-profit organisations, public and private institutions of higher education, universities and public or private companies having research and development bases can apply for this programme. Applications of small and medium-sized enterprises are encouraged.

The Bavarian-Indian Centre for Business and University Cooperation (BayIND) has been set-up in order to coordinate and promote the university cooperation between Bavaria and India. It was founded in 2008 and is supported by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts. The centre aims to intensive academic relation between India and Bavaria and supports the economy in its cooperation's with India. In addition, the centre has also been designed as a central service institution for companies (SMEs). The BayIND is located at Hof University of Applied Sciences and has its representative in Bangalore/ India.
