pharmIn2 representatives met with major south Indian universities
Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi Thatiparthi, head of the Environment department at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad and a member of the Telangana state Pollution Control Board, provided contact points for various pharmaceutical companies who can act as test customers for the piloting of the project. She proposed a number of potential future events and conferences that could be used to enhance the visibility of the project.
Prof. Samar Kumar Das, Professor of the School of Chemistry at the University of Hyderabad, expressed interest in the project and technology. He also indicated that his university students would be interested in participating in the training platform developed as part of the pharmIn2 project.
Prof P. Ramasamy, Research Dean of the SSN research Centre in Chennai, arranged an interactive session with their PhD students in the field of chemistry. The representative from Hof University, delivered a presentation to approximately 30 PhD students of SSN about the project, technology and its various advantages compared to existing technologies in India. The training platform was also introduced to the students during the presentation. An interactive session was held at the end of the presentation for students to ask questions.
