Participation in the Musi-River wastewater technologies workshop

To kick off the pharmIn2 initiative, Indian partner company Paques participated in the recent workshop hosted by the PSCI.

The workshop, which took place on 26th April 2023, brought together industry leaders, experts and innovators to explore the latest wastewater treatment solutions for the pharmaceutical sector. Held in Hyderabad, the event aimed to address environmental challenges and drive progress in responsible pharmaceutical production. Through this event, the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI) engages with suppliers of PSCI members in Telangana to promote better wastewater practices and encourage positive changes.

The a3op® technology, developed by technical partner company up2e!, fits perfectly with this movement towards greener pharmaceutical production. The benefits of the technology include removing traces of antibiotics before they are discharged into rivers and improving the biodegradability of recalcitrant chemicals. During the event, partner company Paques also had the opportunity to network with industry peers and strengthen partnerships aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of pharmaceutical operations.
