DAAD Research in Germany

DAAD Pune has organized a “Research in Germany” event at IISER Pune. BayIND has taken part along with other German universities and research institutions and highlighted the research and PhD opportunities in the respective institutions.

The IISERs (Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research) are institutes that have been declared as institutions of national importance by the Government of India. Seven IISERs have been established so far (in Kolkata, Pune, Mohali, Bhopal, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati and Berhampur). In 2015, another IISER in Nagaland was announced.

The IISER Pune, being a research-intensive teaching institute, already collaborates intensely with German universities.

The DAAD event started with presentations and interactions with DAAD, BayIND, FU Berlin, University Göttingen, Heidelberg University, TUM, Max Planck Society, Forschungszentrum Jülich and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. In the afternoon a workshop for registered participants on the topic of proposal writing was organized.
