Bavarian-Indian Centre celebrates new research partnerships in Bavaria

The Education Ministries of India and Germany have entered into phase-2 of collaboration and invested 3.5 million Euro each for four years until 2024. This renewed commitment is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between higher education institutions from both countries.

Out of the nine selected Indo-German partnerships for phase-2, the Bavarian-Indian Centre is happy to announce, that three of the funded projects are from our partner Universities namely: Technical University of Munich, University of Regensburg and OTH Amberg-Weiden.

We are especially pleased to announce that OTH Amberg-Weiden is the only University of Applied Science to be funded under the current scheme, which displays the excellence of Bavarian applied science universities.

Partnership details are as follows:

  1. Technical University of Munich & Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay on ‘New Opportunities in Indo-German Academic Cooperation’
  2. University of Regensburg & National Institute of Technology, Rourkela on ‘Chemical Innovations for a Sustainable Future’
  3. OTH Amberg-Weiden & Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur on ‘Applied Research for Sustainable Energy in Buildings’
