Scholarships Awarding Ceremony

On 26th of January Ms. Emilia Müller – Minister for Federal and European Affairs – handed over the first scholarships of the Bavarian Prime Minister. Every year students are awarded 3 scholarships by the Bavarian Indian Centre. The awarding ceremony took place at the Munich State Museum of Ethnology on the occasion of the celebration of the 60th Republic Day of India.

The Bavarian Prime Minister scholarships of the Bavarian-Indian Centre are given to students who will study at an Indian university in the Indian state of Karnataka for at least four months. Bavaria holds a partnership with the South Indian state Karnataka.

One of the scholarship holders was a student of the University of Applied Sciences Hof. Mr. Holger Wagner went to the International Institute of Information Technology in Bangalore (IIITB) in February in order to continue his studies in Applied Informatics. The International Institute of Information Technology is a partner-establishment of the University of Applied Sciences Hof. Besides Mr. Wagner two other scholarships were awarded to two students of the Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich, who will share one scholarship, and to a student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.
