Panel for environmental education and innovation

At the trade fair ‘India’s Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Refuse and Recycling’ (IFAT), which took place from 13th to 15th October 2015, the Bavarian-Indian Centre for Business and University Cooperation (BayIND) organized a panel with the topic ‘Indo-German Cooperation: Environmental Education and Innovation’ together with the University of Applied Sciences Hof and the Indo-German Centre for Sustainablity (IGCS (IIT Madras)). Among others, Ms. Sabitha Lorenz talked about ‘Connecting Indian and Bavarian economy and science: examples in the environmental field’.

IFAT which takes place annually since 2013 is the leading platform for environmental technologies in India and is supported by various societies, institutes as well as by the Bavarian State Ministry for Environment and Public Health.

The exhibitors came from Denmark, Austria, Thailand, Spain, France, India, Germany China, the USA, Japan, Italy, Finland and from Great Britain.

The already mentioned panel took place on Thursday, 15th October, from 2 pm to 3:30 pm in Hall 5 at the Exhibition Centre and was introduced by Ms. Prof. Dr. Manuela Wimmer from the University Hof. Following this, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Lehmann who is the president of the University Hof, Ms. Sabitha Lorenz from BayIND, Ms. Dr. Steinbruch from IGCS and Mr. Prof. Dr. Andreas Schmid from Hof University held lectures. Subsequently to this, Ms. Prof. Wimmer moderated the closing discussion.
